Councilmember Montgomery did support the additional 20 police officers in 2006, to give us 25 officers per year for the next four years, this decision was approved unanimously by the Saint Paul City Council with a 7-0 vote. This action will bring 100 additional police officer to the City by the year 2009. These officers will assist our Police Department in providing a true sense of its commitment to it's goal of providing community policing, utilizing every city deparment, non-profit organizations and resources to assist families and businesses, as to ensure a healthy and safe community environment for all.
